As the leaves begin to turn, we're delighted to share our Summer 2026 newsletter – a look back at a season full of sunshine, celebration and community across our care homes.

Summer is always a special time at Ashberry. Our homes came alive with summer fairs, from Meadowview's beach-themed fair to Holmer Court's country and western fete, as residents, families and friends gathered for games, stalls, live music and plenty of laughter. We also catch up on the fundraising for each home's Charity of the Year, along with the personal challenges our colleagues have taken on for causes close to their hearts.

This year we brought our Staff Awards into our homes, so residents and families could celebrate our teams with us. Read on to meet our award winners, including the first recipients of our new Above and Beyond Award, chosen entirely by the people we support. We also hear from two of our longest-serving Home Managers, Amie Porter and Claire Boulter, as they look back on 15 and 10 years with Ashberry.

There's plenty more to enjoy inside. Engelberg resident Doreen celebrated her 100th birthday, Allt Y Mynydd's much-loved Ted on Tour has already travelled more than 21,000 miles and we introduce our new Living Well with Dementia booklet for families and visitors.
