Brockworth House Nursing Home is located in a peaceful area of Gloucester, overlooking Coopers Hill and close to the scenic Witcombe Reservoirs. The home provides high-quality nursing and dementia care for up to 52 residents. As a Maintenance Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our home to the highest standards. This is a varied and hands-on role where you will be responsible for:

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Person to join our friendly team. In this vital role, you will ensure our home and its surroundings are safe, well-maintained, and comfortable for residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out general repairs, maintenance, and decoration across the home and grounds.

• Conduct regular safety checks and record outcomes (e.g. fire alarms, emergency lighting, water temperatures, and equipment).

• Ensure all maintenance work complies with Health & Safety and environmental regulations.

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritise urgent issues appropriately.

• Liaise with contractors and suppliers when required, ensuring work is completed to company standards.

• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records.

• Support the Home Manager in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.

Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in a maintenance role (preferred)

• Practical skills in painting, decorating, electrical, and plumbing tasks

• A keen eye for detail and high standards of workmanship

• Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations

• A proactive and flexible approach to work

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
