We are delighted to share that The Weir Nursing Home has been awarded a “Good” rating in all areas by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following its recent inspection. You can see the report here.
This fantastic outcome comes just months after Ashberry Healthcare became the proud owner of The Weir in January 2025. To achieve such positive recognition so early on is a real testament to the hard work, professionalism, and compassion shown by our dedicated team.
A true team effort
The CQC inspection process looks at key areas including safety, effectiveness, care, responsiveness, and leadership. Achieving “Good” in every category reflects the commitment across the board – from care staff and nurses, to support teams, managers, and senior leadership.
At The Weir, our colleagues have worked tirelessly to ensure that residents receive safe, personalised, and dignified care every day. Alongside this, Ashberry’s leadership team has been focused on supporting the home with the resources, guidance, and investment needed to strengthen care quality and create a positive environment for both residents and staff.
This result is the outcome of a collective effort – one where every individual’s role has made a difference.
