Meadowview Care Home has built a strong community partnership in 2026 with its chosen Charity of the Year, the Still Me Warrington Dementia Project.
Still Me is a dementia support project forming part of Warrington Speak Up, working to strengthen the voice of people living with dementia across the Warrington community. The project sits within a much wider local network, with Warrington home to more than 50 dementia-friendly groups and services offering people the chance to meet others, build confidence and reduce isolation. At Ashberry Healthcare, we're committed to supporting the communities around our homes and partnering with local charities that make a real difference, and Still Me stood out to us because of the meaningful, person-centred work it does every day, ensuring people with dementia feel heard, valued and supported.

The partnership began with a visit from Lisa Betteridge of Warrington Speak Up, and the home is looking forward to working closely with her throughout the rest of the year. In June, Meadowview held its first Community Coffee Morning, bringing together families, friends, St Joseph's Parish Centre and residents from Rosevilla Residential Home for an afternoon of connection.
Lisa and Jill from Warrington Speak Up later joined Meadowview's staff awards ceremony, speaking to residents and staff about the work Still Me does in the community and the difference it makes to people living with dementia. They were presented with a £500 donation from Ashberry Healthcare in recognition of that work.
"The money that you've raised is going to be really useful in making sure that everyone in Warrington who is affected by dementia knows that they are not alone, that there's support out there and there's help out there"
said Lisa from Still Me.
Throughout the summer, the home found even more ways to bring people together in support of Still Me, from an Afternoon Tea to a Summer Fayre. Meadowview also launched an A-Z Fundraising Challenge, taking on 26 different fun activities to keep residents, families and staff involved and engaged with the partnership throughout the year.
Meadowview's relationship with Still Me and Warrington Speak Up continues to grow, with more opportunities planned for residents and the community to get involved throughout the rest of 2026.
