We recently received a heart warming surprise here at Meadowview that lit up the faces of our residents and team, a special delivery from our neighbours at St Vincent’s School, just across the road.
In honour of Mental Health Awareness week (12-18 May), the children and teachers made a special visit to our front door to hand-deliver a bundle of beautifully crafted thank you cards. Each one was filled with colourful drawings, kind words, and heartfelt messages that brought real joy to everyone at the home.
The message inside the envelope read:
“Dear Meadowview,
Thank you for being a part of our community! We are very grateful!
Love from St Vincent’s.”
These thoughtful creations meant the world to our residents, many of whom spent time admiring each drawing and reading the lovely messages. It’s moments like this that remind us of the powerful impact small acts of kindness can have, especially when they come from the younger generation.
The care and creativity shown by the students didn’t just brighten our day, it lifted spirits and sparked conversations about the importance of connection, compassion, and community in supporting mental wellbeing, regardless of age.
We’d like to send a huge thank you to everyone at St Vincent’s for thinking of us and making Mental Health Day extra special.
