Allt Y Mynydd Summer Fair & Open Day
We held our Summer Fair & Open Day on Saturday 21st June, from 12pm to 4pm — and what a fantastic day it was!
True to Welsh tradition, the skies opened up with rain, but that didn’t dampen the spirits of our residents, staff, visitors, and supporters.
The home was buzzing with excitement as staff donned their best summer gear, including bright Hawaiian shirts and festive outfits, creating a vibrant, joyful atmosphere. One of the highlights of the day was the lively line dancing, which proved incredibly popular with residents and brought big smiles all around.

Charlotte, our Wellbeing Coordinator, summed it up perfectly:
"Good time was had by all that attended. Line dancing was very popular with our residents and brought smiles to their faces. There was plenty of support from residents' families and local businesses. We really appreciated all of the support and donations. We also really appreciated everybody who gave their time to come to our summer fair."

We also want to give a special shoutout to DJ Paul — our admin’s husband — who kept the music flowing and energy high throughout the day.
Thanks to the generosity of our amazing local community and businesses, along with the enthusiasm of everyone involved, we raised a fantastic £444.45 through our raffle and other donations. This support means so much to us and helps us continue providing wonderful experiences for our residents.
A heartfelt thank you goes to these incredible local businesses who helped make the day a success:
