Claire Fry, Operations Director at Ashberry Healthcare, has been named a finalist for the Executive Care Home Leader Award at the 2025 Social Care Leadership Awards.
Since joining Ashberry Healthcare in 2022, Claire has been instrumental in overseeing the operations of the company's nine care homes across England and Wales. Her responsibilities encompass profit and loss management, strategic and commercial planning, legislative compliance, and ensuring exceptional care is delivered to all residents in a safe and comfortable environment.
Claire's career began in accountancy before transitioning into the commercial sector, organising large medical conferences and negotiating sponsorships with major pharmaceutical companies such as AstraZeneca and GSK. In 2011, she entered the care industry, taking on a senior regional role at BUPA, where she managed several care homes across the country.
In her current role at Ashberry Healthcare, Claire has demonstrated a commitment to team development and operational excellence. Her experience in establishing high-performing teams and driving continuous improvement has been vital in integrating new acquisitions into Ashberry's processes and core values.

The Social Care Leadership Awards 2025 took place on October 21 at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square. The awards recognised outstanding leaders across learning disabilities and autism, children and young people, dementia care, and care home and home care settings, celebrating individuals who make a real difference in the sector. Claire's nomination underscores her dedication to delivering high-quality care and fostering excellence within the social care industry.
