Meadowview Care Home recently marked a significant milestone as resident Betty Parsons celebrated her 100th birthday.
Born in Liverpool, Betty has always been known for her positive spirit, love of singing, and dedication to making others smile. At Meadowview, she is cherished by staff and fellow residents.
To help her look and feel her best, Betty was treated to a pampering session the day before her birthday. Our hairdresser styled her hair, and she chose a bright red nail polish in preparation for the celebrations.
A particularly heart-warming moment occurred when her friend Pat learned about Betty’s upcoming milestone and expressed her amazement, taking her hand.

On the day of the celebration, Betty wore a tiara and was surrounded by friends, family, and staff members. The party featured plenty of singing and dancing, with music provided by a talented piano player. There was a delicious buffet on for everyone to enjoy picky bits.
Tracy, Wellbeing Lead at Meadowview Care Home said:
"Betty loves having a sing song, and we are lucky to see this on a daily basis at Meadowview. She loves people and her family, and she always wants everyone to have a good time."
“She’s said her secret to life is singing, laughing, surrounding herself with people and being kind.”

Betty’s birthday celebration was a wonderful reflection of the supportive and lively community at Meadowview Care Home. It was a day filled with smiles, laughter, and special memories, honouring Betty’s life and her impact on those around her.
