As our Marketing Apprentice, you’ll support the creation and delivery of engaging campaigns across digital and traditional channels, helping us share the meaningful work happening in our care homes.
You’ll learn how to communicate our values through compelling content, support brand awareness campaigns, and assist with internal and external communications — all while studying towards a recognised qualification with online training and 1:1 support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Content Creation
- Help create engaging content for our website, newsletters, printed brochures, social media, and email marketing campaigns.
- Assist in writing blogs, internal news updates, and human-interest stories that showcase life in our care homes.
Channel Management
- Help monitor and update Ashberry Healthcare’s presence across marketing platforms, including our website, social media, and email campaigns.
- Support with scheduling posts and tracking engagement across platforms.
Campaign Support
- Contribute to marketing and PR campaigns aligned with business goals — such as recruitment drives, open days, and community engagement.
- Help gather success stories and feedback from homes for inclusion in campaigns and newsletters.
Customer Engagement & Insights
- Assist in analysing audience engagement and campaign effectiveness using analytics tools.
- Research competitors, local demographics, and sector trends to support future campaigns.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the Marketing Manager to gather content, support campaigns, and coordinate communications.
- Liaise with care home teams, internal departments, designers, and print suppliers.
Organisation & Project Support
- Help plan and maintain a campaign calendar.
- Support the preparation and distribution of marketing materials, packs, and newsletters.
Key Competencies:
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Creative and confident in written communication
- A willingness to learn about the care industry
- Organised, with good time management
- Comfortable using tools like Microsoft Office and Canva (training provided)
- Interested in social media, branding, and marketing
- Friendly, approachable, and collaborative
Qualifications / Experience
Essential:
- 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4, including English and Maths
- A keen interest in digital marketing and creative communications
Working towards:
- Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer qualification
You’ll develop skills in:
- Content creation
- SEO & campaign strategy
- Social media scheduling & optimisation
- Email marketing and newsletters
- Data analysis and reporting
- Project and stakeholder management
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be the opportunity to move into a full-time Marketing Assistant role within the Ashberry Healthcare marketing team.
